    Early signs (ages 1–2)

    • Limited response to name
    • Few gestures like pointing or waving
    • Delayed or unusual speech patterns
    • Intense interest in certain toys or movements

    Preschool signs (ages 3–5)

    • Difficulty with imaginative play or peer interaction
    • Strong preference for routines
    • Sensitivity to sounds, textures, or bright lights
